Jaws was on the tele last night.  I thought about it, but I didn’t watch it.  In fact I’ve never watched all or even most of it.

Living near the beach where every now and then a real live “Jaws” actually does take a lump out of an unwitting swimmer or surfer means I’d rather not be rattled by the movie.

However, having said that, everyone loves a good movie and movie themed gift baskets may just hit the right spot with the person you’re buying for.

What a good movie is varies from person to person and that’s the key to a great movie themed gift basket.

Be careful when selecting a birthday gift for a girlfriend

You really should avoid items that have special significance attached, such as engagement rings and large expensive declarations of your love.

Birthdays are very public occasions and things can go quite pear shaped either on the day or in the future because of the emotional significance women place on their birthdays and everything that happens on that day.

Because birthday gifts are meant to be a surprise, you really do stress yourself out if you choose something that is a long term gift that you can be absolutely certain that she will either love or hate.

On a birthday, I’d be giving something like a really attractive looking gift baskets for women and saving the rings, jewelry or cars or houses for an occasion when you can cooly and calmly choose together without the pressure.

Seeing as President Obama is off for his holiday to hawaii, I’m thinking about hawaiian gift baskets and what they could contain.

Well, I guess they need to include a pineapple, though in the US at the moment it’s probably a bit cold for tropical fruits.

You’d be looking at some suntanning oil as well, but that could be cruel at this time of year.

And don’t forget the loud Hawaiian shirt and silly sunglasses.

Luckily, here in Australia, the weather is just right for Hawaiian themed gift baskets.

What should you put in executive gift baskets?

Hmm… well it depends how seriously your executive takes their position and how fun or serious you want to be in the giving as well.

It’s almost the start of a new year and it’s the right time for the serious executive to be tidying up their desk and setting out new nick knacks upon it, so desk organisation type items will be welcome in any executive gift basket.

A couple of little snacks, a calendar to suit the personality and maybe even a Dilbert item will finish off this themed gift basket nicely.

Where’s the harm in making or buying small dog clothes?

I know, I know, people with small dogs who treat them like kids seem to maybe be in a bit of a fantasy world, but truly, what is the harm?

And when you see a little dog really decked out in a cute outfit, it does raise a smile on most people’s faces and that can only be a good thing.

You could drop some doggie clothes into dog gift baskets, but you’d need to be fairly sure of your recipient, cause you want to give something they’ll love and use (and hopefully not chew up and drag around the back yard when noone’s watching)
