There are many occasions when it’s nice to say thank you.

While the words themselves convey a lot, a gift that says thank you really tells the depth of your appreciation.

Years ago I helped a man new to my area find his 2 dogs that had been

lost for several days. He was distraught and offering a large reward.

I found the dogs while out riding and reunited the guy with his pets, insisting I wanted no reward.

Imagine my delight when the next day a strange car pulled up in my drive and out jumped a courier with a lovely gift basket with a card of thanks.

It was a very nice and totally unexpected gesture from a stranger and that gift hamper said a big thank you that I’ve never forgotten.

I think that’s the best thing about thank you gift hampers or baskets; the delighted surprise of the recipient and the ease with which the giver can select something appropriate for the occasion.
